About This Fleet De-Identification Project

Power Stream USA was hired by Digby Transportation to remove aging fleet graphics from a large commercial trailer fleet. The scope of work included complete removal of vinyl graphics, elimination of adhesive residue, full exterior washing, and trailer restoration — preparing each unit for rebranding or resale.

The project covered a large commercial fleet requiring careful, methodical work on each trailer:

Removal of aging vinyl fleet graphics
Complete adhesive residue elimination
Full exterior pressure washing
Trailer surface restoration
Preparing trailers for rebranding
Restoring clean, professional appearance
Protecting factory panel finish
Large commercial fleet capability

Fleet de-identification requires specialized experience. Improper removal techniques — using the wrong tools or solvents — can permanently damage trailer panels, leaving scratches, ghosting, and adhesive staining that significantly reduces fleet value.

Project Overview

Commercial Fleet De-Identification Project

This fleet consisted of multiple commercial semi-trailers requiring complete decal removal while preserving the factory finish. Each trailer carried the Digby Transportation branding — large vinyl graphics, contact information, and fleet identification numbers — all of which needed to be fully removed.

Before any work began, each trailer was carefully inspected to assess decal condition, adhesive buildup, surface oxidation, and any pre-existing panel damage. This inspection process ensures our team uses the correct removal method for each surface type.

The result: a fleet of clean, professionally restored trailers ready for new branding, remarketing, or resale — with no panel damage, no adhesive residue, and no ghosting.

Transformation

Before & After Fleet Restoration

See the complete transformation from branded, weathered trailers to clean, professionally restored units ready for their next stage of service.

BeforeBefore Fleet De-Identification

Years of highway miles, sun exposure, and road grime had taken their toll. These trailers arrived carrying faded, cracking Digby graphics — adhesive baked into the aluminum, rust bleeding through the undercarriage, and decals that had long overstayed their welcome. Every unit needed a clean slate before it could move on.

Rust creeping up the undercarriage, decals fading fast — this fleet had seen better days.

Eight units deep, all carrying the same story: old branding that needed to go.

Rear doors caked in road grime, decals lifting at the edges — classic signs of a fleet ready for de-identification.

Trailer #447: rust-stained panels, cracking vinyl, and adhesive that had been baking in the sun for years.

A single pup trailer tells the whole story — original graphics intact, adhesive embedded deep.

The iconic Digby Dedicated arrow logo — striking design, but it had to come off clean.

At the dock and ready for work — but first, every inch of that branding had to be stripped.

DuringProfessional Decal Removal Process

Fleet de-identification is precision work. Every graphic is removed by hand using professional techniques that protect the aluminum trailer surface — no heat guns that warp panels, no solvents that leave residue, no shortcuts that cost the client money down the road.

Hand-peeling the Digby "G" logo — controlled removal technique keeps the aluminum panel scratch-free and adhesive-free. No heat guns, no shortcuts.

Trailer #483 rear door mid-process — decals stripped, ghost lettering exposed. Next step: pressure wash to eliminate every trace of adhesive and road grime.

Full side panel cleared — every inch of Digby branding removed without a scratch. The aluminum is clean, flat, and ready for the final pressure wash.

AfterCompleted Fleet Restoration

The results speak for themselves. Every trailer returned to Digby with zero graphics, zero adhesive residue, and zero surface damage — clean aluminum panels ready for rebranding, resale, or reassignment. This is what professional fleet de-identification looks like in Utah.

Front nose angle — not a trace of branding left. Clean aluminum, no ghosting, no adhesive. Ready for whatever comes next.

Side and rear fully restored. The Hyundai Translead panels are spotless — no staining, no peel marks, no evidence a single decal was ever there.

Two pups, side by side, both completely clean. Every unit in the fleet received the same zero-compromise result.

A single pup against a Utah blue sky — clean panels, no residue, no rust staining. Exactly what a fleet owner needs before rebranding.

Why It Matters

Why Professional De-Identification Matters

Many fleet managers attempt DIY decal removal — and most regret it. Here's why professional service protects your fleet investment.

Paint Damage Risk

Improper removal tools scratch and gouge trailer panels, causing permanent damage that costs far more to repair.

Adhesive Ghosting

DIY attempts leave adhesive staining and ghosting outlines that are nearly impossible to remove without professional solvents.

Time-Consuming Labor

A fleet of trailers can take weeks without the right equipment. Our team handles large fleets efficiently.

Surface Oxidation

Incorrect techniques accelerate oxidation, degrading the trailer surface and reducing resale value.

Hiring professionals saves time and protects fleet value

Power Stream USA uses commercial-grade equipment and proven techniques to remove fleet graphics cleanly and efficiently — protecting your trailer panels, eliminating adhesive residue, and delivering a professional result that holds up.
