The Project

Project Overview

Power Stream USA was contacted to professionally remove the existing company graphics from a BTX Global Logistics commercial box truck that was being prepared for sale. The vehicle — a Peterbilt box truck — carried full vinyl graphics across the aluminum body panels that needed to be completely removed before the truck could be remarketed.

The objective was to completely remove the vinyl graphics and adhesive residue without damaging the painted aluminum box or the truck's finish. Aluminum box bodies require careful technique — the wrong tools or excessive heat can permanently scratch, dent, or discolor the surface, reducing the vehicle's resale value rather than improving it.

Once the decals were removed, the truck received a professional pressure wash to restore a clean, uniform appearance and prepare it for its next owner. The project was completed in approximately one hour, leaving the vehicle clean, professional, and ready for resale. The customer was very satisfied with the final results.

Why It Matters

Why Remove Commercial Vehicle Graphics?

Professional decal removal is about more than aesthetics — it protects your investment, maintains compliance, and preserves the value of your commercial fleet.

Preparing Trucks for Resale

Buyers want a blank canvas. Professionally removing company graphics and adhesive residue makes a commercial vehicle significantly more marketable and commands a higher resale price.

Rebranding Commercial Fleets

When a company rebrands or a fleet changes ownership, old graphics must be fully removed before new ones can be applied. Leftover adhesive causes new vinyl to bubble, peel, and fail prematurely.

Eliminating Ghosting & Adhesive Residue

Improper removal leaves ghost outlines and sticky residue that attract dirt and look unprofessional. Our process removes adhesive completely, leaving a clean, uniform surface.

Protecting Paint & Aluminum Surfaces

Box truck bodies are painted aluminum — a surface that scratches easily. Professional-grade heat guns, plastic scrapers, and adhesive solvents protect the finish that DIY methods destroy.

Maintaining a Professional Appearance

A truck with peeling, faded, or partially removed graphics reflects poorly on any business. Clean, graphic-free vehicles project professionalism whether they're on the road or sitting in a yard.

Avoiding Damage from Improper Methods

Heat guns held too close, razor blades dragged across panels, and harsh chemical solvents all cause permanent damage. Our technicians know exactly how to remove graphics without harming the surface beneath.
